Dear Members of the Italian Community,
Due to the current spread of COVID-19 and the public health impact especially within the elderly population, the Com.It.Es SA committee under the Patronage of the Consulate of Italy have decided to cancel this year’s Festa della Liberazione on the 25th of April to ensure our elderly Italian community (in particular) remain away from a large event to minimise any spread of the virus.
Given the growing nature of the virus spreading and with numbers increasing, in the interests of public safety it was decided to communicate this decision as soon as possible to avoid any confusion.
This decision was not taken lightly, however the event will return in 2021 and we look forward to hosting the service for the wider Italian community.
In the meantime we hope you all remain safe and continue to practice high levels of hygiene to avoid any potential spread.
