From the Minister of Foreign Affairs Min Di Maio about the Australian bushfires 🇮🇹🤝🇦🇺In questi giorni tutti noi assistiamo alla tragedia che sta vivendo l’Australia. Milioni di ettari di terra devastata dagli incendi, decine di morti, migliaia di evacuati, e le immagini strazianti di un numero inimmaginabile di animali morti, koala, canguri e tante altre specie che secondo alcune stime sarebbero mezzo miliardo. Una distruzione che a qualcuno ha fatto pensare a una vera e propria guerra all'ambiente.
Ci si sente impotenti di fronte a tanto dolore e tanta morte. Come Italia, possiamo fare una piccola parte, ma ogni aiuto conta quando un disastro è di queste proporzioni: ho comunicato all'Australia la disponibilità dell'Italia a fornire mezzi in supporto alla popolazione colpita per far sì che questo Paese, grande praticamente quanto un continente, possa risollevarsi.
È necessario capire le cause di questa tragedia, dai cambiamenti climatici alla possibilità di incendi dolosi, ma intanto l’aiuto che sta arrivando da più parti, lo spirito di solidarietà e l’esempio di tanti cittadini che salvano gli animali, li dissetano e prestano loro cure sono ciò che più dà speranza.

The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Min Di Maio has offered Italy’s support to Australia and message of solidarity during these hard times by the bushfires. This further shows the important relationship between Italy and Australia! 🇮🇹🤝🇦🇺

DI MAIO, PRONTI A SUPPORTO PER EMERGENZA INCENDI (ANSA) - ROMA, 17 GEN -

"Ci si sente impotenti di fronte a tanto dolore e tanta morte: come Italia, possiamo fare una piccola parte, ma ogni aiuto conta quando un disastro è di queste proporzioni: ho comunicato all'Australia la disponibilità dell'Italia a fornire mezzi in supporto alla popolazione colpita per far sì che questo Paese, grande praticamente quanto un continente, possa risollevarsi". Lo sottolinea il ministro degli Esteri Luigi Di Maio intervenendo sull'emergenza incendi in Australia. The Marche Club in conjunction with Radio Italia Uno are hosting a fundraiser dinner on Friday 21st of February for those local victims of the bushfires here in South Australia.

Funds raised on the night will go to important charities so call now to book your ticket and get together for a worthwhile evening.
