Last night Com.It.Es SA conducted its monthly meeting for September with a special guest appearance of Italian Senator L’On Francesco Giacobbe.

At the meeting Com.It.Es passed our budget application for the 2017 calendar year, along with accepting to fund a research project aimed at creating a database of all Italians and Italian-Australians holding academic and or research positions here in South Australia. The project will be done in collaboration with ARIA-SA in what will prove to be an exciting initiative to foster and develop the role of Italians here in SA within the scientific, academic and research field.

Also in the second part of the meeting, as apart of our continual community engagement project we met with the committee of the Veneto Club Inc. which proved to be an amazing conversation about their club and their current role and future directions ahead of them. We thank the Veneto Club for attending and sharing their story with us and we wish them the very best in the future!
