On Friday the 19th of October, Com.It.Es South Australia had the honour in hosting the Australian Ambassador to Italy H.E Dr Greg French in a meeting with key member of the Italian community and business community. 

In an insightful meeting the Ambassador wanted to reiterate the strong ties between both countries especially within the economic and commercial sector. At the moment, there seems to be an increase of Italian companies coming to Australia to invest and vice versa, such as renewable energy powerhouse Enel Green Power, space technology company SITAEL and Italian defence company Leonardo, with many others. 

The Ambassador also highlighted that Italy is an amazing country not just built of history, culture, food and wine. But Italy are also leaders in advanced manufacturing, defence technologies, pharmaceuticals and science and technology. 

Following discussion there was an open Q&A between members of the audience and the ambassador, along with a special treat with guests hearing the acoustic skills of the ambassador singing iconic Australian classic ‘I am Australian’ in both English and Italian.
