As apart of our regional re-engagement project Com.It.Es SA members Mark Quaglia and Christian Verdicchio met with two key Italo-Australian organisations today, one being the Italo-Australian Club of Mt Gambier and the other a welfare service based organisation called the Association of Italo-Australian Pensioners and Elderly (AIAPE) which provide social services and garden maintenance to the elderly Italians.
Two great discussions was had between both groups at their locations and we thank both the President of the Italo-Australian club Mr Joe D’Agostino and his committee for their time and amazing hospitality, and of AIAPE Miss Rosangela Crispino and committee for their time and valuable information on the services they provide.
We look forward to providing a formal update back to the committee and maintaining a long term formal relationship between these two bodies in Mt Gambier to ensure that Com.It.Es has a continual update on the issues relating to the Italians living in Mount Gambier.
