Italians in Australia cover a broad demographic: from the first generation of Italians who migrated to Australia in the post-war era, and even prior to that, to the large-wave of young Italians which have been arriving in Australia over the past few years. For such a large and diverse group of people which constitute “the Italians in Australia today” there exists differing needs, hopes and aspirations.

Com.It.Es South Australia has implemented a series of initiatives which will see it connecting and engaging face to face with the many Italian and Italo-Australian organisations in South Australia including; newly arrived Italians and other relevant organisations which cover social, welfare, aged-care, language and culture, academic and business sectors. These initiatives are specifically oriented to give our Com.It.Es a better understanding of the particular challenges facing this broad group of “Italians” in Australia today, which in turn will provide us with a more informed basis from which we will be able undertake our role as an advisory body to Italian government authorities and other relevant stakeholders.

Together with our face to face initiatives, this “new” Com.It.Es South Australia website is an important interactive “informative tool” created to improve our accessibility to you, and even more importantly, to give you better access to us and the many other organisations which can assist you throughout Australia.

On behalf of all the committee – Welcome to the Com.It.Es South Australia website.
